Westinghouse names new nuclear services VP

Westinghouse Electric Co. on August 8 said Ken Okuda has been named vice president and coordination officer for Westinghouse Nuclear Services, replacing Takeshi Tanazawa, who had filled that role since December 2006 and is currently Westinghouse’s senior vice president and chief coordination officer.

Okuda will lead the ongoing effort to identify and realize opportunities for synergy between Westinghouse Nuclear Services and Toshiba Corp. while helping to expand business around the globe. Prior to his new role, Okuda served as senior specialist for Nuclear Energy Equipment Manufacturing in the Keihin Product Operation of the Toshiba Power Systems Co.
