Fuel Tech receives multiple emissions control orders

Fuel Tech Inc. (NASDAQ: FTEK) received multiple air pollution control orders for a total of $4.5 million.

Two of the orders were for ULTRA projects on four large-sized coal-fired units in China that are being retrofitted with nitrogen oxide (NOx) control technology. Deliveries of the equipment are expected to happen in the 3Q of 2012 and 1Q of 2013.

Two additional orders, placed by an existing customer in China, were received for Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) projects on two industrial units. Equipment deliveries for the two projects are scheduled for 3Q 2012.

An order was also received for an SNCR project on an industrial unit in the southeastern U.S. Equipment delivery is expected to occur in 1Q 2013.

The final two domestic modeling orders were for existing selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems.
