Honduras state power company Enee and Mesoamerica signed an agreement to increase capacity of Mesoamerica’s 102 MW Cerro de Hula wind farm by 25 MW, according to Business News Americas.
The wind project was inaugurated in February after beginning commercial operations in December. Enee signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the project and Gamesa Wind USA supplied 51 of the company’s G87 2 MW turbines. Iberdrola Ingenieria y Construcction Mexico helped to build the project.
