Cobra-Enersa wins contract to build Peruvian thermal plant

Cobra-Enersa has landed a 20-year concession to design, build and operate a thermoelectric plant with a capacity of 200 MW in the Northwest of Peru, according to BNAmericas.
ProInversion, the Peruvian state agency that promotes private investment, granted the project on the basis of a monthly price of $7.677/MW, which beat a proposal of $8.695/MW from Samay I, said BNAmericas, citing a report by the Peruvian state news agency, Andina.
The plant is estimated to be completed within two years, and the initial investment is said to be in the region of $112 million.
