RES finally gains approval to build Scottish wind farm

Renewables project developer RES has received the all-clear by the Scottish government to build a 99 MW onshore wind farm near Inverness.

Approval has been granted for the 33 turbine, 99 MW Dunmaglass windfarm to be built 20 miles south of Inverness.
RES applied for consent to construct and operate the wind farm in 2005, but in response to feedback received from local residents and consultees, the planning application was amended and resubmitted in 2008.
