Siemens wind Oklahoma

10 August 2010– Siemens Energy has signed a contract to supply 98 wind turbines for the 227.5 MW Crossroads wind power plant in Oklahoma owned by OG&E. Siemens will supply 95 of the SWT-2.3-101 and three of the company’s SWT-3.0-101 turbines to the wind plant.

Construction of Crossroads wind power project will begin in 2010 with the first wind turbines expected for delivery in April 2011.

The contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of the turbines as well as service and maintenance for three-and-a-half years.
