NERC recession study

2 August 2010– The North American Electric Reliability Corp. (NERC) released a study saying that if there is a quick recovery from the recession, it will affect the power industry through increased peak demand, decreased reserves and how much generation should be retired.

The report also stated that Canada, compared to the U.S., would see virtually no effect on peak demand due to not having an economic recession.
