Henkel Corp.’s trademarked Loctite 5802 PST High Purity Thread Sealant is made for use on threaded stainless steel pipes and fittings found in high temperature environments such as nuclear facilities. The sealant is low in impurities such as halogens, sulfur and low-melting-point metals which can be harmful to metal pipes.
The thread sealant is a high viscosity, mediaum-strength sealant that will not decompose at operating temperatures typically found in a nuclear power facility. The single component anaerobic sealant is available in a 50 mL tube.
Grainger released its 2010 catalog including more than 300,000 maintenance, repair and operating products. The catalog features 85,000 new additions across product categories such as cutting tools, shelving and storage, and fleet maintenance products.
The company continuously adds products to its Web site, with almost 500,000 products available online.
Meggitt Sensing Systems introduces the Endevco model 6634C, a microprocessor-based vibration amplifier, designed to condition and display rotating machinery data and offering simultaneous outputs as broadband, acceleration, velocity and displacement.
The amplifier is designed to accept inputs from a single-ended, differential piezoelectric or ISOTRON (IEPE-type) accelerometer, velocity coil, or remote charge converter. Full-scale AC and DC output ranges, as well as sensitivity, are user programmable in selectable engineering units. Programming is accomplished from the front panel keyboard or optional RS-232 computer interface. Units also have an optional six-pole filter.

Flowserve Corp, a provider of flow control products and services for the global infrastructure markets, released the Flowserve Apex 7000 pneumatic/electro-pneumatic positioner, designed to increase process efficiency though control and industry-leading safety features.
The Apex 7000 is certified by Notified Bodies for hazardous locations installations and its design allows installation into virtually any plant location. The positioner’s gold-plated spool is made to withstand non-ideal air-supply situations without any performance loss. Flowserve offers optional coatings for severe-service applications that can resist harsh, corrosive environments.
The Apex 7000 is available in both pneumatic and electro-pneumatic designs, making it compatible with all major industry-standard controls systems.
Hach Co. introduces its Orbisphere K1100 Luminescent Dissolved Oxygen Sensor that uses luminescent measurement technology to measure low-level oxygen in power plants. The K1100 requires only one calibration per year compared to traditional electrochemical (EC) sensors.
With no membranes to replace or electrolyte solution to replenish, the K1100 only needs two minutes of maintenance per year. Sensor accuracy is unaffected by process changes or low-flow events, eliminating unnecessary operator interventions. In addition, corrosive or hazardous chemicals are not required.
Macro Sensors offers the HSTA and HSTAR Series of LVDT-based linear position sensors that offer both the environmental resistance and short stroke sensor body length ideal to perform in cylinder applications.
These ¾ inch (19 mm) diameter, AC-operated linear position sensors are designed to operate in temperatures up to 200 degrees C and withstand high stocks and vibration. Coil windings are sealed against hostile environments to IEC standard IP-68. The sensors are available with either an axial (HSTA) or radial (HSTAR) connector and are available in ranges of plus or minus 0.050 inches to plus or minus 10 inches.
Presto Lifts Inc. introduces a new line of fully powered stackers. With lift heights of 62”, 101”, 125”, and 150” and up to 2,200 lbs. capacity, the new PowerStak line has a narrow mast design and an offset control handle that provides operators with a clear view of what’s in front of them. The handle puts all controls within reach and forward and reverse “thumb” switches are located on both sides of the handle to accommodate left-and right-handed users. An auto-reversing belly switch protects operators from potential injury when walking the unit backwards, while an automatic brake immediately halts travel when reversed.
The PowerStak is built on a stable yet short wheelbase to provide maximum maneuverability, even in tight quarters. Power is supplied through two 12-volt maintenance-free batteries with a 110-volt built0in charger.
