24 November 2009– The Canadian government is investing $63 million (US $59.5 million) in a large-scale, fully integrated carbon capture and storage (CCS) project in Alberta. The project is partly funded through the government’s Clean Energy Fund.
The Alberta Carbon Trunk Line project, co-owned by Enhance Energy and North West Upgrading, is designed to store up to two billion tons of carbon when working at full capacity.
