Riley gets scrubber contract for coal-fired plant

13 November 2008 — Riley Power Inc. received a $45 million contract from Interstate Power and Light Co. to design and supply a selective
catalytic reduction (SCR) system and low-NOX burners for the Lansing Generating Station Unit 4, a 270-MW coal-fired boiler in Iowa.

The SCR systems furnished by Riley Power use technology under license
from Balcke Durr GmbH and from other Riley Power proprietary sources.

Once operational, the SCR and low NOx burners have the
capacity to remove more than 90 percent of NOx emissions per year. Riley Power is based in Worcester, Mass. and is owned by Babcock Power Inc.
