Peerless Mfg. to supply environmental systems for U.S. peaker unit

6 March 2007 — Peerless Mfg. Co. announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply twelve simple cycle turbine exhaust systems, including selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology, to a combustion turbine manufacturer. The contract is valued at approximately $40 million. The turbines exhaust systems will be installed in the southwest United States at a 600 MW peaking power unit.

Peerless will engineer, design, fabricate and supply the complete SCR/exhaust environmental systems that encompasses the exhaust and silencing systems for multiple combustion turbines. These systems are designed to meet stringent emission requirements for natural gas-fired turbines.
