Foster Wheeler has been awarded a contract by Bechtel to design and supply two 315 MW circulating fluidized-bed boilers (CFBs) for a new TXU plant at the Sandow Station at Rockdale, Texas. The new CFBs have been designed to use lignite and will provide high-pressure steam to a single steam reheat turbine.
Fluor will complete engineering, procurement and construction services for two new units as part of TXU’s 1,634 MW Oak Grove power plant in Robertson County, Texas. The supercritical units will be built where preliminary work was completed for a previously planned plant.
