Alstom wins two turnkey plant contracts in Spain

6 December 2005 – Alstom is to construct two 400 MW natural gas fired combined cycle power plants in Spain after it was awarded turnkey contracts worth in excess of €450m ($530m).

The contract, which also includes associated long-term maintenance agreements, will be signed before the end of the year.

Hc energia, a subsidiary of EDP Energias de Portugal group, chose Alstom to provide engineering, supply, erection and commissioning of the plants along with long-term operation supervision and maintenance services for the main power generation equipment within the plants.

One unit will be built at Castejon, Navarra and the other at Soto de Ribera, Asturias.
