12 May 2004 – Aveva Group plc has been awarded contracts to provide engineering IT managed services to three premier EPC firms – Aker Kvaerner Plant Engineering Services, BE&K, and CDI – through its Aveva Managed Services division.
The contracts will help these EPC firms to accelerate project delivery to the leading owner/operator company, Dupont. All three companies are users of Aveva Vantage products including PDMS, Vantage Plant Engineering, and VANTAGE Project Resource Management integrated application suites.
However, Aveva Managed Services will not only be supporting Vantage solutions, but also Documentum e-collaboration and document management, Bentley’s Microstation documents, AutoCAD and other, proprietary applications.

12 May 2004 – The United States Department of Energy has released its budget proposal for fiscal year 2005. Included in the $24.3bn request is $728.9m for fossil energy programmes.
