The story “Coal-Fired Opacity Technology Being Tested in the U.S.,” which appeared in the October 2003 issue of Power Engineering, concluded with a reference to a greater than 350% reduction at 0.8 micron at the ESP outlet. Clearly, reduction greater than 100% is impossible. The copy should have stated, “The untreated A Pass ESP outlet shows a greater than 350% increase in emissions at 0.8 micron compared to the B ESP Pass with the Indigo Agglomerator at the inlet.” Power Engineering regrets the error.
