Endesa to invest in improving power supply in Majorca

28 October 2003 – Spanish utility Endesa says it plans to spent €710 000 in order to increase power supplies on the island of Majorca which has experienced a surge in demand this year.

Endesa said demand on the island had increased by 43 per cent in the past five years, nearly double the average increase in continental Spain. It said that it had so far
replaced 37 power transformers on the island.

Endesa has a total installed capacity of 42 000 MW, 133 600 GWh distributed capacity and more than 20.5 million customers in 12 countries.
