Clint Williamson joins NEI as director of legislative programs

WASHINGTON, D.C., June 6, 2003 — Clint Edward Williamson, legislative director for Congresswoman Heather Wilson (R-NM), has joined the NEI staff as director of legislative programs.

Williamson is responsible for developing and maintaining relations and communications with members of Congress, congressional staff, and administration officials to enhance their knowledge and understanding of commercial nuclear technology.

Williamson is a graduate of Texas Tech University and has a Masters degree from Johns Hopkins University. He also has worked on the staffs of Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-TX) and Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX).

“I am tremendously pleased to have Clint Williamson join the NEI team,” said John Kane, senior vice president of government affairs. “With Sandia National Laboratory and the Waste Isolation Pilot Project located in New Mexico, and four nuclear power plants in Texas, Williamson is very knowledgeable about nuclear energy issues. He has worked on nuclear energy issues in an advisory capacity to several members of Congress who serve on the Energy and Commerce Committee.”
