SAN DIEGO, CA, April 28, 2003 — LASCOM Solutions Inc., a maker of Internet-enabled Business Process Management (BPM) solutions has completed implementation of Phase I on schedule for the Energy Merchant Business Unit of Cinergy Corp.
Using Advitium, Cinergy will have increased traceability and visibility into mission critical business processes associated with the research and development of new work projects.
“We are very pleased with the timely and knowledgeable delivery of this implementation,” commented Jim Woestman, Manager Project Controls, Cinergy Power Generation Services. “The decision to choose Advitium came after one and a half years of internal requirements gathering, and the solution has already added value to the organization. We anticipate a strong return on investment and plan to expand the solution into other important business processes,” added Woestman.
The Cinergy implementation utilized Advitium’s unique XML package-centric technology to automate business processes while integrating with existing Cinergy IT systems including Cimage and PROMET. Cinergy found that Advitium’s ability to migrate data from legacy systems added value to the overall solution.
Advitium’s XML architecture, along with its powerful configuration management engine and ability to operate completely in a web browser environment, provides a powerful tool to automate complex processes like technical and field change orders, drawing and document release, permit authorization and renewal, power supply and distribution contract authorization, and internal project proposal and work order generation.
“LASCOM’s professional services team excels at customer implementations with legacy system integration,” said Alan Kiraly, President and CEO, LASCOM Solutions, Inc. “In addition to our original project, we were also happy to provide an improved Internal Budget Approval Process which replaced an existing system. Advitium proved to be considerably faster and significantly more scaleable,” added Kiraly.
Advitium offers a rich set of functions that creates knowledge by focusing on business processes. By managing the detailed movement of information and ideas through an organization, Advitium provides complete visibility into the status and metrics of the process, thus helping companies improve efficiency and maintain a complete knowledge base of best practices.
