Engine exhaust insulation granted patent

Oneida, IL, March 7, 2003 — The Kalb Corp., and its HeatBlocker Division, announces that its signature product, HeatBlocker Ultra Performance, has been issued Patent #64444287 by the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Kalb Corporation President, Mike Kalb, in announcing the government action stated, “The U.S. Patent Office has favorably reviewed our request for a patent on the construction of our HeatBlocker exhaust insulation product. The recognition that this ultra performance insulation is unique substantiates our claim that these products are manufactured in a manner that sets them apart from the industry standard.”

The HeatBlocker exhaust insulation system is the result of a research and development program that stretched over twenty-four months.
