HOUSTON, Texas, Jan. 29, 2002 — Three experienced energy managers left Enron Wholesale Services to join Econ One Research, Inc. Jeff Merola, Guy Sharfman, and Marc Ulrich, have joined Econ One’s Houston office.
Together, the three former Enron employees bring experience with trading, generation, transmission, distribution, energy procurement, risk management, product development, and delivery, both to wholesale and retail customers. In combination with the firm’s existing international energy consulting business, this new group provides Econ One with the resources to assist clients in a full range of energy-related issues.
“We are very excited about adding Jeff, Guy, and Marc. At Enron, they were highly successful in starting new energy businesses and quickly improving existing businesses. We look forward to sharing that expertise with our clients,” said Jeff Leitzinger, Econ One’s President.
The group’s combined experience includes major energy firms such as Southern Company, Allegheny Energy, Nicor Energy, Georgia Power, as well as Enron Wholesale Services and Enron Energy Services.
