PSEG Nuclear enters partnering agreement with Sargent & Lundy

Feb. 5, 2000 — PSEG Nuclear has entered into a partnering agreement with Sargent & Lundy LLC for engineering services.

The partnering agreement calls for virtually all of PSEG Nuclear’s design work and technical support activities not directly supporting workweek activities to be assigned to Sargent & Lundy.

The agreement is part of PSEG Nuclear’s continued drive to not only excel at operating safely and reliably, but to do so in a manner that continually reduces the cost of electricity. The long-term engineering partnership will free up PSEG Nuclear engineering staff to focus on their core competencies of maintaining the design bases of the units and supporting their safe and reliable operation.

PSEG Nuclear operates Salem Units 1 and 2, two 1,150 megawatt PWRs, and Hope Creek, a 1,100-megawatt BWR.
