Valve monitoringsystem

A permanent motor-operated valve monitoring system called SENTRY has been developed. It is designed to be permanently mounted near a valve and connected to a set of user-defined monitoring sensors for approximately 100 strokes of the valve. The unit has a removable data storage cartridge which can be transferred to any standard PCMCIA Type II slot and the traces analyzed using QUIKLOOK. Data from every stroke, under actual plant conditions, can then be trended and a database of valve operations developed.
