John Hoffner has been named Planergy`s director of advanced technologies.

James F. Wood has been appointed president of Babcock & Wilcox Power Generation Group, replacing Walter E. Boomer.

Percy M. Beard Jr., Florida Power Corp.`s senior vice president of nuclear operations at the Crystal River nuclear plant, has announced plans to retire on April 1, 1997.

Joel Richards III and Britton White Jr. have been elected executive vice presidents at El Paso Energy Corp.

Peter Forster, chairman of El Paso Energy Corp., turned over the title of CEO effective Jan. 1, 1997, to Allen Hill, president and COO. Forster continues as chairman of DPL Inc.

Emma N. Byrne has been appointed chief spokesperson for Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG). George Koodray and Paul Lief Rosengren have joined PSEG`s management staff.

Jeffrey K. Skilling has been elected president and CEO of Enron. He is also continuing as chairman and CEO of Enron Capital & Trade Resources.

Robert Gannon is to succeed Daniel Berube as chairman of the board and CEO later this year at Montana Power Co. Berube plans to retire at the end of 1997, less than a year before his required retirement.

Walter Z. Berger, LG&E Energy CFO, has been named to the new position of group president-energy marketing. The move is part of a drive to integrate the company`s power and natural gas marketing and trading businesses.
