Fermi 2 reachessafety record
Employees at the Fermi 2 nuclear power plant have worked more than eight million consecutive safe work hours without a lost-time injury, a record among all Detroit Edison power plants, placing the plant among the nation`s best for industrial safety. The record, which began in April 1992, included two plant refueling outages. One was an extended outage involving nearly 5,000 separate work projects and 250 plant improvements.
