Calls for papers
The conference committee for the 22nd International Technical Conference on Coal Utilization and Fuel Systems has issued a call for papers for the March 17-20, 1997, conference in Clearwater, Fla.
Abstracts of 400 to 500 words are due by Sept. 27, 1996, and must summarize the objective and current status of the work, provide details of the scope of the papers, list author names and affiliations and designate a principal presenter.
Papers are solicited on: benefication, preparation and utilization of coal-based fuels, coal fines, coal/waste co-firing, environmental aspects of coal utilization, orimulsion, pipeline delivery of solid materials, retrofit or repowering of coal-fired plants, and utility perspectives on coal-based fuels.

The Illinois Institute of Technology has issued a call for papers for the 59th American Power Conference, to be held in Chicago, April 1-3, 1997. Concurrent session tracks include: Education & Training, Environmental Protection, Globalization, Generation, Operations & Management, Nuclear, Plant Controls, Systems Management & Access and Transmission & Distribution.
