Issue 5 and Volume 100.

Pressure washers

The electric pressure washers were designed for use in nuclear power plant facilities for general plant maintenance, as well as for decontamination and equipment sterilization. They allow decontamination to be done rapidly, cutting worker dose rate. There is no flame or exhaust and no conventional fuel storage is needed. Designed for indoor use, the washers emit no contaminants, comply with the Clean Air Act and require no conventional fuel storage. Sixty models of all-electric cleaning units are available, providing 140 F or 180 F high-pressure, hot water; 40-720 GPH; and 500-3,000 psi. Explosion-proof models are also available for hazardous locations.
