Decontamination and Decommissioning seminar

Radiological Decontamination and Decommissioning (RD & D), a one-day technical and professional training course sponsored by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), will present an overview of RD & D for nuclear facilities and research, test and power reactors. The course will be held on June 18, 1995, in Denver, Colo., immediately preceding the regular standards development meetings of ASTM Committee E-10 on nuclear technology and applications.

This overview of current RD & D efforts demonstrates the importance of detailed planning and the implementation of standardized procedures and quality assurance practices to minimize risks and costs.

The course includes a review of the status, development and applications of many ASTM standards and supporting documentation that is available for nuclear environmental remediation and RD & D restoration process management.
