Dominion Virginia Power, a subsidiary of Dominion Resources (NYSE: D), dedicated a new solar installation on the roof of the Student Recreation Center at Old Dominion University in Virginia.

More than 600 solar panels will generate 125-kW of electricity. The project is the first participant in Dominion’s Solar Partnership Program, under which Dominion will build and operate up to 30-MW of company-owned solar facilities on leased rooftops or on the grounds of commercial businesses and public properties throughout the service area.
