Vestas received a 155.1 MW wind turbine order for a wind power project in Baja California, Mexico.
The project will use 47 V112-3.3 MW turbines, one of Vestas’ newly launched 3 MW types. Under terms of the deal, Vestas will deliver and commission the turbines, install a SCADA system and service the turbines for five years.
Energia Sierra Juarez, a unit of IEnova, placed the order. IEnova is formerly known as Sempra Mexico. Turbine deliveries are scheduled to start in the third quarter 2014, and the project is slated for commissioning in the first quarter 2015.
