DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) says the Fermi 2 nuclear plant could remain offline for months while repairs on a reactor water pump continue, according to CBS-62 in Michigan.
The plant near Lake Erie has been down since Nov. 7. The 1,100 MW reactor had been running at 68 percent since July following a month long outage due to damage to a feedwater pump.
A DTE spokesperson said the plant was in safe stable condition.
