New Jersey resort to get solar energy projects

SPI Solar, a vertically integrated photovoltaic (PV) solar developer, entered into an engineering, procurement and construction contract with a subsidiary of KDC Solar to design and build 6.4 MW of solar energy projects at a resort in Vernon, N.J.

KDC will own and operate the plants at the Mountain Creek Resort and Grand Cascades Golf Resort. The projects will include a combination of fixed ground mount and solar parking canopies and carports located at three separate sites at the resort.

The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2012.
