
Enel Green Power S.p.A., through its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America Inc., has begun construction work of a geothermal plant located in Cove Fort in southern Utah.
The new plant will have a gross installed capacity of 25 MW. The plant should enter service by the end of 2013, and it will require a total investment of approximately $126 million.
The Cove Fort plant will also benefit from a 20-year contract for the purchase of the electricity generated.
