Bechtel signs nuclear project management contract in China

Bechtel has signed an agreement to provide project management consulting services to the China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. (CNPE), a subsidiary of the China National Nuclear Corp. Bechtel said it will provide CNPE with training and education to help the organization enhance its ability to manage nuclear projects.

“The collaboration between Bechtel and China Nuclear Power Engineering Company is an important step in broadening capacity and skills in the nuclear industry,” said Carl Rau, president of Bechtel’s nuclear power business line.

Bechtel has provided in excess of 74,000 MW of nuclear design, construction, and operating plant support experience to more than 150 nuclear plants.
