SolarReserve completed the 540-foot solar power tower for the 110 MW Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Plant in Nevada.

Construction on the project began in September 2011 on federal land operated by the Bureau of Land Management after it was awarded a $737 million loan guarantee from the U.S. Department of Energy.

The Crescent Dunes project has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement with NV Energy (NYSE: NVE).

The plant is expected to be operational by the end of 2013.
