Riley Power Inc., a unit of Babcock Power, has signed a contract with Gemma Power Systems LLC for the design and supply of Riley Power’s advanced stoker boiler with integrated air quality control system for the 49.9 MW biomass-fired Woodville Renewable Power Project in Texas. The project is owned by East Texas Electric Co-op Inc. (ETEC).

Riley’s integrated AQCS features its patented multi-pollutant catalytic reactor for low NOx, carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds (VOC) emissions control.

RPI has received a limited release from Gemma Power Services to begin design and engineering activities, including limited engineering releases to key suppliers.  RPI anticipates a full release of all contract activities later this year following approvals from the Rural Utilities Service and ETEC’s full release of Gemma Power Services under the EPC contract.
