Biomass power plant in Canada receives funding

ecoTECH Energy Group Inc., a development-stage renewable energy company which plans to manufacture biomass-fueled power stations, said it has received a non-dilutive debt financing package from Corpfinance International Limited (CFI) to fund 60 percent, or C$55 million ($54.8 million), of ecoTECH Energy Group Inc.'s 5 MW power plant and Aquaponic project in McBride, British Columbia.

ecoTECH plans to build five biomass, combined heat and power stations across North America during the next five to seven years.
