
Western Wind Energy Corp. began commercial operations of the 10.5 MW capacity wind and solar energy project in Arizona.
The project uses five Gamesa G-90 2 MW wind turbines with 500 kW of solar panels on a single axis tracking system. The project began operations on August 30 and entered commercial operations on September 16.
Unisource Electric Services signed a power purchase agreement for the output from the plant.
