
A worker was killed at the 2 GW Harrison coal-fired power plant in West Virginia owned by FirstEnergy (NYSE: FE).
News reports quote authorities as saying that the 63-year-old worker was killed after he was pinned against the wall by a piece of machinery in the coal-handling area of the plant. The section of the plant was shut down following the accident.
The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration is conducting an investigation into what happened.
