Constellation Energy Nuclear Group LLC (NYSE: CEG) said it reached an agreement with the company’s union, ending a 17-day strike at the 1,761 MW Nine Mile Point nuclear power plant in New York.
Constellation and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 97 signed a new labor agreement for a term from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2015. Workers were expected to return to work July 27.
Nine Mile Point continued operations during the work stoppage, and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission provided additional oversight during the first two weeks of the strike.
