Solar Trust of America, developer of the Blythe Solar Power Project, signed a letter of intent with SolarHybrid AG to form a joint venture to develop, build and manage utility-scale solar projects in North America.

The new company, called SolarHybrid of America LLC, will develop stand-alone photovoltaic sites and projects with concentrated solar power (CSP) and PV in the same location.

Under terms of the letter of intent, the new company will operate out of Solar Trust’s Oakland, Calf. office.
