Ontario wind projects bought by Pattern Samsung

Pattern Energy Group LP and Samsung Renewable Energy, a unit of Samsung C&T Corp., acquired additional land and a prospective wind farm to bolster its proposed 270 MW South Kent Wind Farm in Ontario. The partners bought the land from Suncor Energy and the unnamed development project from Northland Power. Terms were not disclosed.

The two wind projects will be included in the wind farm in Chatham-Kent. The partners are developing the wind capacity and additional capacity this year.
