
18 August 2010-- GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy signed an agreement with India's Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd. for services to support the company’s nuclear projects in India and other countries. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
GE Hitachi said the agreement covers project design, workforce development, and a collaboration on feasibility design studies and project engineering work.
India currently has 19 reactors that generate 4,560 MW, but is planning to expand its capacity to 20,000 MW by 2020 and 63,000 MW by 2032.
