6 January 2010-- Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Power Generation will use software from Coreworx Generation, a unit of Acorn Energy, in the development, licensing and delivery of B&W's mPower nuclear reactor.

The software, called the Coreworx Nuclear Industry solution, offers document and design control work and procurement and electronic records management during new and upgrade projects at nuclear power plants to keep track of all the documents needed through the regulatory steps.

The B&W mPower reactor design uses a short, vertically integrated supply chain and alternative methods of delivery and installation to improve costs, scheduling and quality.
