
22 December 2009-- SolarReserve, a California-based developer, signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with NV Energy for the sale of electricity from SolarReserve's proposed 100 MW solar tower Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project in Nevada.
The project is expected to use an advanced molten salt system technology, which features energy storage that can provide electricity during peak periods. Construction is expected to begin in 2010 and run for two years.
