6 November 2009-- Horizon Wind Energy, owned by EDP Renewables, dedicated the 99 MW Blue Canyon V wind farm November 5 in Oklahoma.
The project, which is the third phase of the more than 100 MW Blue Canyon wind farm, will deliver power to Public Service of Oklahoma (PSO), a unit of American Electric Power (AEP), which already buys power from Phase II of the project. PSO signed a 20-year power purchase agreement for the electricity generated by Blue Canyon V. The wind farm uses 66 GE sle 1.5 MW turbines.
