15 September 2009-- Future Power PA Inc said it is looking for funds from the Department of Energy for a planned 270 MW coal-fired plant.
It would cost about $1 billion and take three years to finish construction on the Good Spring coal plant. The unit would be an Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle plant with carbon capture and sequestration technology. The gasification technology comes from China and the CO2 pipelines used to sequester the gas would still need to be built.
