12 December 2008 -- Westinghouse Electric Co. said it signed a 10-year agreement with FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Co. for services and support to FENOC's nuclear fleet, which includes the Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station in Shippingport, Pa.; the Davis-Besse Power Station in Oak Harbor, Ohio; and the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio.
Under terms of the agreement, Westinghouse's services will range from large component replacement and engineering services to outage support and spare parts supply. The agreement will enable FENOC and Westinghouse to work together to improve safety, plant reliability and efficiency, according to a Westinghouse press release.
Westinghouse Electric Co., a group company of Toshiba Corp., is a supplier of nuclear plant products and technologies to utilities worldwide.
