Siemens said it received an order to supply 44 of its 2.3 MW wind turbines for the Keenan wind farm in Oklahoma.
The purchaser is CPV Renewable Energy Company, a unit of Competitive Power Ventures (CPV) Inc. and a power generation development company focused on the North American market. The Keenan wind farm will increase Oklahoma's existing 700 MW wind power capacity by 101 MW.
The Siemens contract includes delivery, installation and commissioning of 44 SWT-2.3-93 wind turbines with a capacity of 2.3 MW each. A service and warranty agreement is also included in the order. The wind farm is scheduled to be in commercial operation in 2009.
