Indian government to give boost to hydropower

Speaking Friday he said a company setting up a hydropower project would be allowed to sell 40 per cent of electricity produced at the plant on their own.

1 July 2008 - Alstom has been awarded a turnkey contract, worth approximately €335m ($528m) million, by Société Tunisienne de l'Electricité et du Gaz (STEG) for the construction of a 400 MW combined-cycle power plant. The power plant will be constructed at Ghannouch, in the Gabes region, in southern Tunisia. An additional contract includes a 12-year operation support and maintenance agreement.
