5 February 2008 - India's Suzlon Energy has signed a deal with Australian renewable energy company Pacific Hydro to provide it with 27 turbines.
The turbines are to be used to produce 2.1 MW of electricity at the Australian group's $A140m (US$127m) Clements Gap wind farm in South Australia.
Pacific Hydro CEO, Rob Grant, anticipates a surge in the renewable energy sector, due to the Australian Government's commitment to raise the mandatory renewable energy target to 20 per cent by 2020.
